FRIDAY MIX: DJ Crybaby

In a special radiothon edition of the Friday Mix, we asked our own DJ Crybaby (aka Crystal Moonsammy) to soundtrack the final episode of Breakfast.

Known for her audio engineering prowess during Slightly Odway, DJ Crybaby changed pace for this mix.

She says it serves as a love letter to the many others just like her. From house and disco to pop and RnB, it reminds me a lot of a salad that has fruit in it – unexpected but surprisingly it all works really well together!

This was a rare-y that came about with no prior planning but an idea of what kind of feeling I wanted to inspire within listeners. I hope when you close your eyes and listen to this mix, it’ll invoke feelings of a sunny day with good company; just dancing and enjoying yourselves as day turns to night.
