Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse join Artbeat’s Bec Bowman to discuss the release of their first songbook; Kalyakoorl, ngalak warangka” (Forever, we sing), and the Jilya World Suicide Prevention Day Concert.

The songbook, featuring music from their first two albums; Kalyakoorl (Forever) and Bindi Bindi (The Butterfly), includes song and music sheets arranged for voice, guitar and piano. This celebration of Noongar language is published by Magabala Books.

The concert, supporting suicide prevention, takes places September 10, 2021 at Winthrop Hall, University of Western Australia. Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse will be joined by Kobi Morrison, Bojesse, John Butler, Naomi Pigram & Tina Altieri to address the shocking rates of Indigenous child suicide, which are now at the world’s highest rates.
