Nestled in the heart of our city, an offbeat party known as ‘Shadow Play’ awaits to liven the entirety of the State Buildings.
The event is set for the public to delve into a labyrinth of reimagined spaces, illuminated with mind-bending amusement at every turn that will take place between September 26-27, 2021.
Be prepared to venture behind closed doors and discover our historic corridors transformed into a nocturnal playground, bursting with wondrous light shows, immersive live music, DJs, roving performers, Italo disco and a smorgasbord of unexpected entertainment.
On The Record presenter Fiona Bartholomaeus is joined in the studio with Ali Bodycoat, who is the Arts and Culture Manager at the State Buildings and one of Western Australia’s most talented and respected professional jazz vocalists.
Together they discuss how the the idea to open up the historic rooms and corridors of the State Buildings for a night event arose, including how the event will change and expand over the next few years?
