Local Feature: Third Degree’s ‘HAZMAT Vol. 001’

Third Degree is a platform created by Boorloo/Perth creatives Superflog  and Nora Zion with the aim of showcasing music within the genres of club, Garage, UK Funky, Jungle, Jersey and Ballroom/Vogue music.

Celebrating a year of the label, the compilation is a reflection of the genres, DJs and producers that have come to define Third Degree’s sound. It’s a lovingly crafted pastiche of high energy tracks that borrow from the UK hardcore continuum as well as genres like footwork and juke.

Subs rattle, razor sharp breakbeats are smashed apart and pieced back together in mind boggling junglist rearrangements and waves of euphoria crest across the nine tracks – this a record that was made for the rave by the rave.

Breakfast’s Taylah Strano wa joined in the studio by Superflog and Nora Zion in RTRFM studio to discuss the label reaching one year, the big compilation and being RTRFM’s first local feature 2022. Check out the interview below!
