DIY punks Plaster of Paris chat Riot Grrrl and Aussie Tour

Formed in 1995,  Plaster of Paris are music industry veterans with a DIY punk ethos and a brilliant post-punk sound.

Kailyn Crabbe talks to the band’s guitarist Sarah Blaby via live chat on Out To Lunch whilst Sarah waits for a cab to take her to the airport. Destination? Perth!

The pair discuss all things tour-related and also go into depth on issues of gender and ageism within the music industry, and how Plaster of Paris’ all-female line up led them to releasing their debut feature length album Lost Familiar just last year.

Some great chats also on the feminist riot grrrl movement of the 90s, the band’s musical influences and how they are all about women supporting women!

Now on Australian tour with locals Last Qoukka, Plaster of Paris play across three different venues in Boorloo this weekend including The Bird and The Shed.
