Qantas shareholders back Alan Joyce – at what cost?

Despite safety concerns amid Australia’s so-called “aviation crisis”, Qantas shareholders are reportedly backing beleaguered chief executive Alan Joyce.

The investors argue that the airline’s issues are not unique to aviation and could not have been predicted. The counter argument is that shareholders are being short-sighted in only considering management decisions in the context of COVID.
