The XR Hackathon Showcase

Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts is staging the XR Hackathon Showcase as part of the XR:WA Festival.

It’s a weekend of XR (eXtended reality) work created by six artists who have never worked with the medium before. They participated in a boot camp program where they got to work with professionals in the industry to bring their ideas to life.

Multidisciplinary artist Shanti Gelmi and Miranda Johnson who manages the public program at PICA, chat with Bec Bowman.

The XR Hackathon Showcase runs everyday this weekend until the Sunday 18 September and has artist talks on Saturday 17 September at WA Museum Boola Bardip.
