How a new Australian start-up plans to grow plants on the moon

Australian National University is set to lend its unique expertise in plant biology in an ambitious outer space mission, led by Australian start-up Lunaria One

The project aims to grow plants on the moon as early as 2025, with their Australian Lunar Experiment Promoting Horticulture (ALEPH) being the first in a series of experiments to investigate whether it’s possible.

ANU Associate Professor and science advisor Caitlin Byrt joined Fiona Bartholomaeus for On The Record to chat about the endeavour.
