Oi Oi! Jeff Geggus chats the past and future of the Cockney Rejects

Jeff Geggus was only 14 when his band the Cockney Rejects hit the big time with the release of their first single ‘Flares and Slippers’. They went to find commercial and underground during the late 1970s and early 1980s with tracks such as ‘The Greatest Cockney Rip Off’ and ‘I’m Not a Fool’.

The band is cited as originators of the Oi! movement and has fought (sometimes literally) for street punk and their unique East End West Ham sound.

Cockney Rejects are doing one final tour of Australia in January and Jeff spoke to David Redding from Burn The Airwaves about the history of the band and their upcoming tour. Tune in below!
