Bang Bang Bart on their latest single ‘Brendan Fraser (as profiled in GQ)’

Patrick Marlborough aka Bang Bang Bart is a non-binary writer, comedian and musician based in Fremantle/Walyalup. Patrick began releasing music as Bang Bang Bart in 2019, after an 8-year hiatus from music due to mental health issues.

Ahead of their debut LP Bali 9 to 5 they released Brendan Fraser (as profiled in GQ), a melancholy meditation on trauma, grief, survival, and The Mummy 2, inspired by a 2018 profile of actor Brendan Fraser.

Written as a reflection on their own experiences as a survivor and as someone who struggles with depression, PTSD, and suicidal ideation, ‘Brendan Fraser (as profiled in GQ)’ is the slower more reflective side of Bang Bang Bart.
