Archie Barry at PICA

Archie Barry is an artist, born and raised on the coast of Eora Nation (Sydney) and is now based in Naarm (Melbourne). Their practice spans across performance, video, sculpture and music composition and production – and has been shown in major galleries across Australia.

For their most recent work Scaffolding (preface), Archie has imagined a future society of children who create a fugitive mode of non-lingual communication to evade surveillance – resulting in a very bold and surreal video work in PICA’s screen space.
