Angel Olsen talks Big Time ahead of her Perth Festival shows

Enigmatic US singer-songwriter Angel Olsen plays music that refuses to be typecast. In WA for a string of Perth Festival appearances, she’s often described as a folk singer but has established a sound that ranges from indie rock to ambient and pop.

Her latest release, Big Time, has a distinct alt-country twang. Throughout the album, Olsen’s achingly beautiful and powerful voice croons incisive lyrics of heartache, grief and personal growth.
