ECU lecturer develops new membranes to make drinking water safer

Microplastics are up to 100 times smaller than a strand of human hair and are harmful to marine life and human health over time, causing neurotoxicity and immune system defects.

New local research has developed high-tech membranes that can remove harmful microplastics from water, a crucial step in protecting us from pollution.

Edith Cowan University lecturer  Dr Masoumeh Zarger joined Jeff Bullen for On The Record to discuss the Australian development which is set to change how water is treated around the world.
