Between Water and the Night Sky by Simone Lazaroo

Imagine packing up your belongings and rebuilding a life in a land that is not always welcoming of outsiders.  

It’s a common experience for many Australian migrants, including author Simone Lazaroo who has just penned her latest novel about a young man who moves from Singapore to Perth and a young woman who relocates from the Wheatbelt to the big smoke for a better life. 

Set in Fremantle at the height of The White Australia Policy Between Water and the NightSky is a novel about falling in love and falling apart and the shared histories that have ripple effects throughout the generations. 

RTRFMs Danielle Raffaele caught up with the award winning author and started by asking what inspired her to put pen to paper after a long break from novel writing.
