Deteriorating Housing Affordability in WA 2023

A new report from the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre released last week entitled ‘Housing Affordability in Western Australia 2023: Building for the future’ reveals the alarming extent to which housing affordability in WA has deteriorated within the last two years.

Stephen Rowley is the Director of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute’s Curtin University Research Centre and co-author of the report and spoke to Maddie Lombardi about interest rates, housing supply and the renting crisis and how they effect housing affordability.
