Bernice Jiang: To Fly A Kite

Bernice Jiang is a Chinese Australian director and photographer. Jiang has worked in music videos, documentaries and narrative creations across Australia.

Evolving across multiple mediums, Jiang is currently working with narrative film and her latest creation ‘To Fly A Kite’ has been nominated for the Dendy Awards in Sydney Film Festival.

“To Fly A Kite is about a young girl who embarks on a journey to fly a kite, determined to unearth a place that may empower it to soar freely. An ode to the passage Asian diaspora have to undertake between contradicting worlds before finding themselves. ”
