REV23: Filmmaker Jessica Bailey talks about her film “I am not a Nurse”

The 26th Revelation Perth International Film Festival kicks off today, showcasing the best independent and alternative cinema sourced from home and around the globe.

This year’s festival features three special “Westralia” anthologies of short films, featuring works from WA’s best emerging film talent. One such film is “I am not a Nurse,” which appears in the second Westralia anthology, Navigating a New World: Dramatic Narratives and Micro-Fictions, and follows a young African woman living in Australia who has to choose between following her dreams or supporting her family back home.
