The link between mosquitoes and climate change with Dr Cameron Webb

Dr Cameron Webb, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and Principal Hospital Scientist with the Department of Medical Entomology at NSW Health Pathology joins Fiona to discuss the impact of climate change on mosquitoes.

The hotter conditions and a greater abundance of water are idle conditions for mosquitoes.

This could mean greater numbers of mozzies and the possibility of an increase in the spread of diseases including Malaria and Dengue fever, as well as Ross River Virus and Murray Valley encephalitis in Australia.

Dr Webb expands on the link between mosquitoes and climate change and what we might see in the future.
