Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker on Little Rope

In January, iconic indie-rock outfit Sleater-Kinney marked the start of their 30th year by releasing Little Rope, their cathartic 11th album.

Since cutting their first record in a tiny Melbourne shop front in 1994, Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein have stayed tied to each other, post-riot grrrl, through changes to lineup and spells of enourmous grief, cementing themselves as a generation-defining band.

In a fitting celebration of THREE DECADES of Sleater Kinney, the American band will be returning to our corner of the world in May on their anniversary tour, playing shows in Walyalup/Fremantle and across the east coast.

Pam Boland caught up with Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker to talk all things Little Rope, touring and creation in times of crisis.

YOU can catch Sleater-Kinney playing shows around Austrlaia this May, tickets on sale from February 23.
