World Voice Day

World Voice Day aims to raise awareness and start conversations about the importance of vocal health as well as voice loss and change.

For the first time, this day will extend to New Zealand and will be celebrated through its Illumination Campaign by lighting up iconic Australian landmarks in red, the colour of the larynx.

Voice loss or impairment can be a temporary thing but those who experience Dysphonia find that it is highly persistent and debilitating.

Atikah Hurley discusses World Voice Day and the Dysphonia condition with Louise Bale, Chairperson of The Australian Dysphonia Network.
