RESTORE at PICA

Strut Dance is the National Center for Choreographic Development in WA, the company will premiere their new triple-bill works ‘Restore’ at PICA.

Restore is a pilot program that spotlights restoration, connection, and exchange in the region with an eye to sustainable creative choreographic practice.

One of three performances is ‘What Came Before’, created and presented by Emma Fishwick and Serena Chalker.

‘What Came Before’ invites the audience to consider their perceptions of valued labour, ephemerality vs perceived permeance, the relationship to feminised work, and what it takes to do things differently.

Restore Performers, Emma Fishwick and Serena Chalker chat with Bec Bowman on Artbeat ahead of the event.
