Wardarnji Festival 2024
On November 30, Wardarnji will celebrate the beauty of Nyoongar culture and the warmer Kambarang evenings at Esplanade Park.
The festival will feature traditional and contemporary performances by dancers of all ages, Wardarnji joyously showcases one of the world’s oldest and richest cultures.
From 4.30pm, attendees can browse market stalls showcasing local Nyoongar makers, artists and small business owners, or simply settle in on the lawns and enjoy a pre-show picnic.
Wardarnji 2024 is one of the The City of Fremantle’s festivals programs benefiting from a $145,000 grant from Lotterywest.
The Lotterywest funding is being used across the City’s major annual festivals to deepen creative programs and enhance community participation.
In an aim to enhance projects that amplify marginal voices, and provide artists and performers the opportunity to cultivate their skill in safespaces, and enable audiences to access diverse and shared experiences.
