Say hello to

Audrey Sullivan

( She/ Her )

Enthusiastic about forcing the people I love to listen to the music I love.

About

Get to know Audrey Sullivan

When I was in Year 5 my teacher told me I needed to give other students room to speak…so naturally, I joined RTRFM as an adult to heal the totally serious wounds of being an overly talkative child.

In Year 5 I also started playing the trombone (very embarrassing instrument to play at age 11), and joined the school choir (perhaps equally embarrassing), which sparked a love of music that has lasted a long time.

I’ve just finished a degree in English and History, but between all that reading and writing I ran a UWA-based online radio station, hosted a podcast and planned events on campus! I love community and music and pop culture, and also love to write and talk about these things!

How did you become involved in the station?

I enrolled in the presenter training course after loving and listening RTRFM from a distance!

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Hearing Big Thief play Vampire Empire for the first time at a gig a couple of years ago and knowing I was hearing something very special! Spud Infinity was also a treat to hear at that concert, something super wholesome about silly, earnest songs like that!

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Brekky – especially on a Friday for Movie Squad. It’s perfectly timed for my drive from home to the train station on my commute to work. Have nearly missed my train many a time trying to catch as much of the chats as possible!

Love music?

Love RTRFM.
