Get to know JC
I grew up in Portsmouth in the UK and was raised on a diet of 60’s and 70’s rock via my parents record and cassette collection. In my teens I became an indie kid, (think Pixies, Nirvana, Janes Addiction), grew my hair and learnt to wear DM’s and navigate a mosh pit. By the time I got to Uni in London, the music scene was exploding with techno, house, jungle, garage, Manchester indie pop, grunge, shoegaze, trip hop and so much more.
I bought my first set of decks with my student loan back in 94 and have been DJ’ing ever since, with a few breaks to go travelling.
I love presenting at RTR as it combines my passion for music with working with the community and sharing the things that I love.
Outside of RTR I enjoy checking out new music, cycling, running, skateboarding, playing soccer, walking, travel and hanging out with my mates and my 2 kids.
I first heard RTR when I went to In The Pines for my birthday when I first arrived in Boorloo in 2006! It was a squally day but it remains a vivid memory!
