Perth Reclink Community Cup

The Perth leg of the Reclink Community Cup will return to its new home at Leederville Oval to mark its 10th year in WA on Sunday 5 October from 12pm.

This head-to-head Aussie rules match between media and arts organisation personalities Newshounds and local musicians Bandgropers is a crucial fundraising event for Reclink Australia (WA).

A cultural collision of music and sport, the Perth Reclink Community Cup boasts an electrifying musical line-up for 2025 with post game performances from Bribes and Didion’s Bible in the Subiaco Football Club function room and a halftime show from Gap Year while the players catch their breath.

The Bandgropers boast players from Didion’s Bible, Gap Year, Bribes, Nervous and Katy Steele plus a host of other local bands. The Newshounds feature players from RTRFM, ABC Perth, The West Australian, WA Government and local council members.

“The Reclink Community Cup is a special and unique day where footy and music come together for everyone to enjoy. The support from our partners, sponsors, football and music industry as well as the wider community is amazing and is the reason why we are able hold the event year after year” said Dave Wells, Reclink Australia CEO.

This year we bring you more kid’s activities with Swan Valley Animal Farm, mini golf, and face painting.

Come for the fun footy between Newshounds vs Bandgropers and stay for live music and a relaxed atmosphere that firmly emphasises love, team spirit and community.

Proceeds from this fundraising event go to Reclink Australia’s life-changing programs. Reclink’s structured sport and recreation programs improve life outcomes for those experiencing mental illness, family violence, homelessness, people with disabilities, Aboriginal people, CaLD people, at-risk youth and more.

It’s never been easier to make a difference; just relax and enjoy family entertainment, live music and of course the big game at Leederville Oval on October 5, with bouncedown at 2pm. It’s sure to be a fun day out where community is the winner!
