Tammin’s Trapdoor Spider Festival

Spider specialist Dr. Leandra Mason joins Beth on On The Record to chat about the upcoming community festival in Tammin, this September 5-7th.

Matriarch’s of the Wheatbelt will celebrate trapdoor spiders and the legacy of Barbara York Main, an eco-trailblazer and Dr. Mason’s mentor.

The festival is celebrating 50 years of continued study of wild trapdoor spiders in Tammin, with crafts, film screenings, speakers, and Noongar story time.
