Legendary Hip Hop Group The Herd Herald Twenty Years of The Sun Never Sets

The Herd are coming to Perth this month as part of a national tour heralding the 20th anniversary of their third, era-defining record The Sun Never Sets.

Known as a group ahead of their time, this album cemented their place as vocal advocated for social change; boldly diving into controversial topics and help conversations about anti-racism, decolonisation, anti-war and environmentalism.

In addition to their music, the core members established and ran Elefant Traks, one of Australia’s most respected independent labels, for 25 years before it’s closure in 2025.

Drives Lee Vixon spoke with bassist Dale Harrison aka Rok Poshtya about the tour, their social impact and their reflections on twenty years of The Sun Never Sets.
