Indymedia – 9TH of March 2026

Join Alex Whisson for a brand new edition of the Indymedia Show!

On today’s show;

We discuss the ongoing Iran war, as it reaches its second week.
There was a major development overnight, as a new Iranian Supreme Leader was elected. Mojtaba Khamenei, has been elected the new Supreme Leader of Iran.
Mojtaba is son to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the previous Supreme Leader of Iran, who was killed in US–Israeli strikes.
The reactions around the appointment of Iran’s new Supreme Leader, has been met with mixed feedback from both US and Israel government officials. In particularly, Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, said that ‘whoever was chosen as Ali Khamenei’s successor would be “an unequivocal target for elimination”.
Alex gives us an editorial on the ongoing situation.

Plus the news mainstream media didn’t discuss.

Join us next week for a brand new episode of the Indymedia Show!
