March for Forests

As a part of a national march to protect forests, people are being called to rally on Sunday the 22nd of March in the Perth CBD. Marchers are encouraged to bring black umbrellas to make a giant black cockatoo, a symbol of WA’s beloved Jarrah forests, which are under threat due to the deforestation involved in bauxite mining.

The Perth March takes place on Sunday the 22nd of March at 10am in Forrest Place.  Margaret River is also having a rally on the same day at Reuther Park at 11am.
