Saving the Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos

Professor Kingsley Dixon AO is one of Australia’s leading conservation scientists … and the Project Delivery Lead for Corridors for Carnaby’s, a new $3.3 million initiative aimed at helping to save WA’s endangered Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo from extinction. Funded by Amazon’s Right Now Climate Fund and delivered in partnership with The University of Western Australia and Winjan Aboriginal Corporation, the project will restore critical habitat, train Indigenous rangers, engage schools and communities, and use innovative technology to help monitor and protect one of WA’s most iconic species.
