Midland NAIDOC

Midland NAIDOC is a growing community celebration that brings together local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, families, community organisations, businesses and the wider Midland community to celebrate culture, connection and achievement. This free community event brings together local organisations, groups, families and businesses for a day of culture, connection and celebration. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the live music and performances, kids’ activities, community stalls, food vendors, Art Competition and Community Awards. The event will take place on Tuesday 6th of October from 10am-2pm.

Prior to this, John Mogridge, the City of Swan’s Aboriginal Partnerships and Development Specialist, was recognised for his decades of dedication and won the prestigious Community Person of the Year Award at the NAIDOC Perth Awards 2026.

Bec Bowman chats with John Mogridge.
