Hear Her Now

An exciting new event looms large on the Boorloo horizon… Australia’s first chamber music festival dedicated entirely to music written by women. One hundred works by one hundred women across 12 days in Perth, this month. With support from Creative Australia and the City of Perth, the ambitious project titled Hear Her Now is presented by Mirabilis Collective and it is taking place from 8-19 October. The opening night, Homegrown, was held at Wesley Uniting Church and it featured Western Australian women composers and classical-style music world premieres by Katherine Potter and Mia Brine.

Bec Bowman chats with Julia Nicholls from Mirabilis Collective.
