DJ Vez / Vanessa

I’m Vanessa, my on-air name is DJ Vez. After living abroad for more than ten years, I’ve developed a love of different cultures and the music that connects us. My tastes span drum and bass, electronic, dance, breaks and world music, and I especially enjoy sharing female artists and Australian talent.

I love presenting because it’s an opportunity to discover music, tell the stories behind it and connect with listeners. On Snooze Button, I enjoy bringing energy to the early morning and helping people start their day with a good soundtrack.

Outside the station, I’m involved in community and political campaigning, volunteer as an Assistant Scout Leader, and enjoy learning languages and attending international affairs events.

I first heard about RTRFM after returning to Perth from living overseas. I love listening to Full Frequency in the car, and it’s lovely to now contribute to the station as a presenter myself.
