Book Club with Danielle Raffaele: Brotherless Night by V.V Ganeshananthan

Today on Bookclub, Danielle Raffaele and Pam Boland discuss the inclusion of author Randa Abdel-Fattah at the upcoming Adelaide Writers Festival 2027 lineup following a turbulent year characterised by scandal and the notable dismissal of Abdel-Fattah over support for Palestine which saw hundreds of authors boycott this year’s event.

Then, Danielle tells Pam about Brotherless Night a novel by American Tamil author V.V Ganashenathen about a young girl called Sashi who, while studying for her medical degree, is caught up in the violent Sri Lankan civil war which kills her brother and radicalises her best friend.
