About

Get to know Dart

I first caught on to RTR FM in the mid-90s, tuning in to shows such as Beats Per Minute with Colin Bridges and Auditory Spiral while at the same time being swept up in the growing rave scene in Perth. It was the Logical Progression album from LTJ Bukem that hooked me on to Jungle and Drum & Bass and I’ve been a keen enthusiast ever since.

In 1997 I was invited to play a set on the Rhythm Trippin’ show on RTR FM, which in those days was 2AM-6AM show Saturday night/Sunday morning, then in 2002 I was then asked to join the Full Frequency roster and host the Wednesday show. I love about presenting on RTR because it allows me to share music from passionate artists with a wide audience, it helps me connect the producers to new fans and help them gain more appreciation for what they do.

How did you become involved in the station?

In 1997 I was lucky enough to be invited to play a guest slot on a show (Rhythm Trippin’) and was then invited to join the roster.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

My most memorable gig happens every Easter Thursday, ROLLER at the Rosemount Hotel, always a solid occasion.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Ambient Zone, though I don’t get to listen as much as I’d like to.

Love music?

Love RTRFM.
