Emma Daisy

I am a person who likes music. Fairy music, folk music, ambient, plip plop, etc.

About

Get to know Emma Daisy

Outside the station I am a photographer who works with local artists, musicians, families, and community orgs. I also work as a Digitisation Photographer in Cultural Heritage. In the past I made ambient music with my Cello, voice & collected recordings, as Daisies Net, but I retired.

I love backyard gigs, knitting very poorly, and walking in the nature.
My introduction to RTRFM was in my early 20s when I had just moved to the city and was loitering around all the shows with all the nice music people. I love presenting and being a part of this community – belonging somewhere is very important as a human person.

How did you become involved in the station?

I wanted to give something back to the station after they had been so supportive of my little music project but I didn’t have spare money to donate. It’s such a nice practice to be forced to listen carefully to music and then be able to share what you’re excited about. I’ve gained a lot of self-assurance, multi-tasking skills, and a closer relationship to the passing of seconds.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

I simply can’t pick but wow this was a great laneway to walk in my mind for 20 minutes – some very beautiful things have happened

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Lately I love Global Rhythm Pot & Moorditj Mag the most!

Love music?

Love RTRFM.
