About

Get to know Lee-Maree

I love so much about RTRFM ..the people are so welcoming and share a love of bringing quality music to our wonderful listeners…Having the opportunity to be part of a brand new show with my favourite genre in the Middle Of Nowhere collective has been the best. Attending and volunteering at RTRFM events and talking with our supporters hearing just how much we are valued really makes me proud an happy to be part of this place.

Outside the station I work in Clinical Research and enjoy being part of my little South Freo community.

How did you become involved in the station?

5 years back I was new to WA and immersing myself in the amazing local music scene…not long in I was introduced to RTRFM and was so happy to hear the artists I’d been seeing live played on air…I was in! Fast forward to the presenters course with so much support from Rhian then to ease into presenting overnights, was all super fun …getting to play the stuff I love in the wee hours I loved so much …I was hook line and sinker in! These days as part of Middle Of Nowhere I have loved the opportunity to help build a strong show that is rapidly gaining popularity .

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

I just recently saw Dirty Three at The Passenger Terminal in Freo.. absolutely amazing performance in such a cool venue… gotta mention my first ever gig was Bob Marley at Festival Hall Brissie as a 17 year old …Powderfinger’s last ever performance River Stage also Brissie also very special.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Rockin The Roots closely followed by Homegrown.
