About

What to expect

RTRFM’S DEDICATED BLUES SHOW, SPOONFUL OF BLUES IS TURNING 45.

Kicking off in 1979 the show, which runs from 7 – 9pm Monday nights has been the home of blues on your radio in Perth for 45 years and RTRFM is having a party to celebrate.

Join us Sunday 13 October from 5pm at Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle for an afternoon and evening of the finest blues in town.

With live sets in the main room and the Spoonful of Blues DJs on the verandah enjoy a spring Sunday with your favourite blues folks.

Catch sets from the growl and bluster of Dan Howls, the guitar wizardry of Kerry B Ryan Blues Experience, the harmonies and road stories of Biscuit & Slim, the delta blues of Diamond Daves and the legendary voice of Lee Sappho.

Plus on the verandah, Simon Johnson, Dave McEwan, Purple Pete Greenwood and Tamara Szep will be spinning tunes all afternoon and evening.

All ticket sales help to keep RTRFM on air and supporting local, independent music and arts.

RTRFM acknowledges that this event and all our activities take place on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. We pay our respects to elders past and present. We acknowledge the importance of art and culture in First Nations history and are deeply grateful to create and share on this land.

This is an LGBTIQA+ friendly and safe event.
