Radiothon 2024: Sending out a Signal

This year RTRFM is Sending out a Signal for Radiothon as we urge you to support the station by sending back your signal.

RTRFM relies on the support of the community who believe it’s important to hear different music, local stories, and diverse voices on their airwaves. RTRFM are now calling on our subscribers to keep the community on your radio. By sticking with us and becoming a subscriber, you are:

• Ensure our longevity for many years to come
• Supporting the cultural fabric of our city and amplifying different sounds and ideas.
• Connecting to local people telling local stories in your community.
• The financial contributions from subscribers during Radiothon makes up 30% of our annual income and ensures that we can continue to make and share independent radio for years to come.

Subscribing in 2024 will help to ensure that we remain a pillar of Perth’s diverse cultural scene and continue to bring our valued community alternative sounds, unique events across the city and engaging talks programming that keeps our listeners inspired and informed.

Radiothon is a massive highlight in the RTRFM calendar and brings together the wider community to celebrate local music, arts and culture.  Both on and off air, Radiothon will feature special guests, huge giveaways and ultimately, incredible community spirit. Proceedings will be kicking off at 6am on Friday 16 August from The Bird with a live edition of Breakfast with Pam featuring DJ power group Sealed Section bringing the tunes to get you moving!

Then on Saturday 17 August we’ll be taking over all three levels of The Rechabite in Northbridge for RTRFM’s annual Radiothon Party (tickets available via rtrfm.oztix.com.au). Catch some of Boorloo’s best acts including Myriad Sun, Sarco, Bribes, RATSALAD as well as CLUB  V/A (Midnight Elevator, Terminal, Mutual Affection and Hyde Park Hi-Fi) taking over the Goodwill Basement for a massive dance party! Up on the rooftop we’ll be celebrating 10 Years of Cloud Waves, RTRFM’s modern rap and R&B show with sets from Aslan, Nafta, Cee, Bl66ke and Hyclass.
