Double Happiness – On the Doll Ep. 1 Margie Rita T4T Slumbi

Double Happiness returns with a new series called On the Doll, ahead of the International Transgender Day of Visibility on 31 March. It’s a series of DJ sets, live recordings and interviews with trans DJs and producers, presented by RTRFM’s Margie Rita. This episode features Margie mixing alongside Slumbi, who performs, produces and procures dreamy and empowering music in Mparntwe and Naarm.

Margie Rita is the founder of Double Happiness, an alternative queer party showcasing diverse, eclectic & boundary pushing local artists & a focus on building trans community. Influenced by early internet culture & the brashness of the 2000s electroclash scene, Double Happiness is the most unpredictable & dynamic party in Boorloo. Also a presenter of peer2peer, Behind the Mirror and Trainwreck, at the decks Margie’s selections are edgy, abstract & horny.
