HERSTORY on RTRFM: Marg Agnew
Marg Agnew grew up in rural Victoria, relishing life on the family orchard before moving to Western Australia for a new life in broadacre farming. Overcoming challenges of the conditions of the 1980s – environmental and economic – led to a full life on and off the land.
Agnew assisted in establishing the Neridup Soil Conservation Group in 1989, created the Rural Remote and Regional Women’s Network for WA and played an important role on more than 20 organisations at a local, state and national level. Agnew was often the first woman on some of those committees.
In this episode of HERSTORY on RTRFM, 2020 WAWHOF inductee Marg Agnew speaks to Taylah Strano about her life long love of the land, farming challenges and her commitment to sustainability.
