The ongoing situation in Gaza appears to get worse and worse.
Israeli forces killed at least 115 Palestinians across Gaza, as well as 92 people that were shot at aid points across Palestine, with health authorities announcing that at least 19 people have passed away from starvation.
On Monday Morning, activists gathered outside the DFAT office on St Georges Terrace to demand the Australian Government put more pressure on Israel to lift the siege on Gaza.
Greens member, Sophie McNeill, will be joining the show to discuss the occupation and conflict that Palestinians have faced.
We’ll be hearing from 4ZZZ’s Andy Paine, as he discusses the SEQEB strike that took place in Queensland, 1985.
The SEQEB strikes occured when ETU workers disagreed with the introduction of contractors by the Queensland Government, led by Premier Joh Bjelke-Petersen.
Premier Bjelke-Petersen sacked the workers involved in the strike, after declaring a state of emergency.
Andy Paine spoke with Peter Ong, the State Secretary of the ETU, about the strike and the ramifications behind it.
Plus the news that mainstream media didn’t talk about.
