Professor Richard Tanter joins the show to discuss the the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network conference, 3 year anniversary of AUKUS and how much of a threat the AUKUS package could be to the Asia Pacific Region.

Joni Boyd shares a report detailing the rally outside state parliament calling for the closure of Unit 18, the “temporary” notorious maximum security wing for juvenile inmates in the adult prison in Casuarina Prison. This was meant to be a temporary solution, but has been ongoing for nearly 2.5 years and now, there’s been a second death in custody, meaning this is the second death in custody in the last 10 months.
The horrific atrocities in Lebanon resulted in the murder of at least 40 people and injury of 1000’s due to explosives added to walkie-talkies and pagers.
Israel’s Mossad Spy Agency planted explosives inside walkie-talkies and pagers ordered by Lebanese group Hezbollah. Children, medical staff and radio operators were injured or murdered as a result of this attack, there was no guarantee that all of the devices were going to fall into Hezbollah Fighters.
There were also further attacks with bombings in Beirut, killing a senior Hezbollah commander and officers from Hezbollah Special Forces Unit.
Israeli forces/soldiers have raided Al-Jazeera offices and shut down their media license. The media license is normally provided by Palestinian Authority.
There has been a second, apparent, assassination attempt on Former US President & Current Republican Party Nominee, Donald Trump. Similar to the first attempt, the media has dropped the news off major headlines. The United States are already in a chaotic state, and this attempt would only cause them to go further chaotic both in the public and mainstream media. The information is limited and regardless of everyone personal view, it has lead to speculation as to why the Secret Service would fail and be unable to perform their role, protecting senior officials and former Presidents of the United States.
