Indymedia on RTRFM – 19 July 2021

This week, Indymedia host Ray Grenfell is joined in the studio by Ewan Buckley to tackle three major developing stories.

The Indymedia team speak to Dr Tauel Harper, a lecturer in UWA’s Media and Communications department, about how the proposed cuts will affect his colleagues’ research,

They also reflect on eight years of indefinite detention, the Rudd government policy that denies refugees arriving by boat any possibility of resettlement in Australia.

And finally, the team speak to Extinction Rebellion’s Andy Gryce about XRWA activists’ pending court case. Following their arrest last year, Andy and his peers will be pleading not guilty due to emergency conditions.
