Alex also looks back on the past and forward to the present, as they revisit an interview from the archives with Professor Verity Burgmann, as the recent news of the CFMEU (Construction, Forestry, Maritime Employees Union) crisis with several misconduct and criminal allegations were revealed, as well as having several branches under individual administration.

A big conference, The Indian Ocean Defence and Security Conference is taking place and this conference is a talking shop for heads of military, government and weapons companies. Joining Alex in the Studio is Sam Wainwright from Stop AUKUS WA.

President Joe Biden steps down as the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. The move comes in a difficult position, with the election not too far away and if acting selflessly, he would’ve quit months ago before the election campaign began.
We’ll look into the commentary and ideas that have been formed since this announcement, including the impending announcement of  the Democrats successor, Vice President Kamala Harris, taking over as the leader of the Democratic Party.
