Today on Indymedia, hosts Ray and Brett discuss threatened Sydney waterways with Kaye Osborn, an activist from the Protect Our Water Alliance.

Their activist work in Wollongong is challenging the Longwall Coal Mining project, which threatens the Sydney water catchment. Kaye explained where the POWA are at, what they’re dealing with, and how they are dealing with it.

Brett then interviewed Electric Frontier Australia (EFA) board member Justin Warren about the Surveillance Legislation Amendment (Identify & Disrupt) Act 2021.

The Act would have frightening implications for digital rights and our civil liberties. Justin discusses the concerns about it and what the Act would mean.
