Understorey: Hope, Urgency and the New COP Economy

Fiji has made history by becoming the first Small Island Developing State to preside over the United Nations conference of parties (COP) – the annual round of the ongoing Paris Climate Agreement negotiations held this year in Bonn, Germany. Paul Chatterton, the Australian founder and leader of the Landscape Finance Lab at WWF,  attended COP23 and is facilitating a project that will have financial and environmental benefits for the small island nation of Fiji, and investors are getting interested.. But is Australia doing enough for climate change, or discovering the opportunities that exist in a green economy? Dr Andrew Glikson from Australian National University doesn't think so.
