Get to know Aaron

Presenting is a blast because I get to share amazing music with people who truly get it. When I’m not at the station, I’m hanging out with my wife, kids and 3 dogs—or tucked away recording and releasing my own indie tunes. I got onto RTRFM back in the early 2000s when I was travelling to Perth for gigs, and it became my go to station to listen to each time i was in town.

How did you become involved in the station?

I’ve always loved the idea of being on air and helping introduce listeners to new and emerging artists. After I became a subscriber, I heard about the RTR presenter course and decided it was the perfect opportunity to get involved and help spread the great sounds.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

My most memorable gigs weren’t just one moment, but a whole era—playing around the Melbourne and Sydney indie scenes in the late ’90s and early 2000s with bands who were both friends and heroes at the same time. The details though are best saved for a chat over a beer 💕

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Always a fan of Out To Lunch, Home Grown, Middle Of Nowhere and Posted
