Get to know Aran

Having the privilege to present on this beautiful community radio station is one of the highest honours I’ve ever received! Playing the music I think is really cool to a bunch of people that love interesting, unique and groovy tunes as much as I do is basically a dream come true. Outside of the station, you can usually find me at a local gig or The Bird having a beer with my friends/catching some wicked local acts.

How did you become involved in the station?

My dad was always listening to RTR growing up, so he got me hooked on listening to the breakfast show way back when and even bought me my first subscription! Though it wasn’t until I was a bit older & when I started getting into the local music scene, making new friends in musician/DJ circles, that I had the thought of maybe signing up to present as well..

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

It’s gotta be Geese, Valentine’s day 2026. A room full of people seeing their favourite band for the first time. Tension, slowly building through the entire set that exploded in the encore with a moshpit to Trinidad. Unreal.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

I’m a sucker for the great Pam Boland on the Breakfast show!
