Born in Kansas City, Missouri, grew up in Colorado, saw a bit of the World then found my way to Perth via New Zealand (yes there was a girl involved). Self-taught musician aka ‘Hack’.  I remember hearing lots of classical music from my mother’s stereo and Johnny Cash from my dad’s.  I love all sorts of music but got hooked on jazz listening to ragtime then on to bebop and beyond.

How did you become involved in the station?

I answered an on-air request put out by the SJ crew who were looking to add another presenter.  Was screened by Dick and Warren, had a test run, did the training, and here I am.

If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?

Now that’s just plain silly…

What is the best thing about being involved in the station?

Connecting with listeners while sitting at the sound desk trying to control that constant sense of panic.

What is the strangest thing that has happened to you at RTRFM?

For my entire guest appearance my microphone wasn’t turned on.  I’ve never sounded better.

If you could present a show other than your own, which would it be and why?

Spoonful of Blues.  Love my blues

What do you do in real life?

I’m the Manager, City Environment for the City of South Perth.  Hang out with my Wife and Daughter.  Work on the house. Sail.
